Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to describe the application of the thematic learning model by teachers in class III SDIT Zu Tsaqif, (2) to describe student learning outcomes on the application of thematic learning by class III teachers at SDIT Zu Tsaqif. The subjects of this study were class teachers and 3rd grade students. This study used a qualitative approach, with 4 techniques in data collection, namely interview, observation, documentation, and field notes. Data were analyzed through four activity lines, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification/conclusion. The results showed that SDIT Zu Tsaqif had implemented the 2013 curriculum with thematic learning models. However, in its implementation there are still many obstacles, one of which is inadequate learning facilities and infrastructure, so that the learning process does not go well and affects student learning outcomes which are still low.
