The Indonesian Journal of Earth Sciences presents Volume 6, Number 1, featuring five scholarly articles authored by 19 contributors from two countries—Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Indonesia. Covering the January–June 2026 period, this issue reflects the journal’s commitment to advancing research in earth and environmental sciences.

The articles in this issue address the geotourism potential of modern ripples and oxide limestone at Pasir Padi Beach in Pangkalpinang, deep-learning-based fusion and super-resolution of remote sensing images, GIS-based flood evacuation routes in Medan City, denudational landforms in Cibalong (Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java), and placer gold indications in Senggi District, Keerom Regency, Papua.

We invite geographers, earth scientists, environmental researchers, and practitioners to explore these studies, which provide insights and practical knowledge for understanding the processes shaping our planet.
